Agaricus is mostly distributed in the United States of Florida beach grassland, south California plains, Brazil, Peru and other countries. It is also called as Brazil Mushroom. The name is derived from the long life expectancy and low incidence of cancer and adult diseases found in the mountains 200 kilometers outside Sao Paulo, Brazil, where people take Agaricus as food from ancient times. Agaricus mushroom is used for cancer, type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, “hardening of the arteries” (arteriosclerosis), ongoing liver disease, bloodstream disorders, and digestive problems.
